Product Overview

It has been 20 years since Microsoft acquired Dynamics NAV (now Dynamics 365 Business Central). TNP was established in 2009 to provide great service to businesses who use NAV, and that core mission hasn’t changed. We thought it was the best mid-market ERP product all the way back then – and still hold that view.

Since acquiring NAV, Microsoft has invested very substantial resources in maintaining, developing and enhancing the Business Central product itself. Microsoft has also integrated the product tightly with its wider portfolio. As a result, of all ERP vendors, Microsoft has the most complete proposition.

The lifetime cost of ownership of one ERP product as opposed to another is determined by the availability of skills. If skills are scarce, day rates are high, support is poor. If skills are widely available, customers have choice – which drives value and quality. Many more people have Microsoft skills.
